The Assistant Portfolio Manager will provide substantive support to senior leadership in the management of the firm’s open-ended real estate portfolio. The APM will oversee critical work streams, and participate in the evaluation and development of portfolio diagnostic tools, leveraged to drive asset-level initiatives designed to drive investment performance.
The Hotel Operations Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of projects for the Hospitality Group as well as reporting and analysis on Hospitality Group performance data. Projects will have a specific focus on initiatives that are related to Hotel Operations, Food and Beverage and the Reduction of Risk and Liability. This person works closely with fellow corporate team members and field management through each phase of assigned projects.
Because this position is grounded in project management, the goals from one time period to the next may vary significantly. However, with each project specific core requirements will remain the same:
- Coordination of the scope, design and timing of each major project with Director of Hotel Performance Support, the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage and all other relevant stakeholders (e.g. Vice President of Operations, Regional Directors, General Managers, third party consultants and business partners).
- Communication of project status effectively to the appropriate corporate staff members and Hotel General Managers.
- Assembling of all appropriate supporting documentation for each project.
- Effective troubleshooting and problem solving of each phase of project development and implementation across all relevant projects
Although this position focuses mainly on responsibilities that shift over time, certain responsibilities related to operations shall remain constant:
- Produce a number of Hospitality Group reports on a recurring basis.
- Daily updates and tracking of Revinate (online reputation) performance for all Core Hotels.
- Ad hoc requests for data and analysis.
- Participation in the annual business planning process including build-out of budgeting tools, preparation of company-wide budget line items, review of property revenue and expense projections.
- Completing other duties as assigned
- Community and industry involvement that enhances his/her professional network and benefits the strategic interest of the B. F. Saul Hospitality Group.
- Focus and follow-up on areas of risk and liability in areas such as but not limited to ADA, security, and OSHA.
This individual reports to the Director of Hotel Performance Support and works closely with corporate and property-level leadership teams to support and drive desired results.

The Investment Analyst will work with the Real Estate Investments Group in evaluating new investment opportunities to determine their suitability for ASB’s fund portfolios and participate in the implementation and management of asset level investment strategies. This Analyst position is for the Palo Alto, California office.
The Investment Associate will work with the Real Estate Investments Group in evaluating new investment opportunities to determine their suitability for ASB’s fund portfolios, conducting due diligence, negotiating legal documents, closing new investments, and participating in the implementation and management of asset level investment strategies in our Palo Alto, CA office.
The Investment Controller will be responsible for oversight of the property-level accounting for properties (held within any of the ASB investment funds) as assigned, from acquisition through disposition.
Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the property: processing all resident service requests in a timely manner, perform preventative maintenance duties and unit inspections, troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and painting; and performing turnovers and renovation of apartments.
This position is responsible for overseeing day to day management of capital improvement projects, new building amenities, base building projects and white box and turnkey tenant improvement projects for the B.F. Saul Company & Saul Centers, Inc. located in Bethesda, Maryland.
The Kennedy-Warren (KW) is a historic eleven-story apartment building in Washington, D.C. It is located between the Cleveland Park and Woodley Park neighborhoods and is home to 450 residents. One of the many amenities available to residents is the KW Club bar, open exclusively to residents and their guests on Tuesday – Saturday nights from 4pm-11pm. This position maintains the residents' standard of excellence by delivering classic drinks and exceptional customer service.
The Portfolio Management Analyst will support the Portfolio Management team in delivering reporting on portfolio monitoring and performance used to develop portfolio management initiatives and drive investment strategy.
