  • Overview

    The Account Executive is responsible for brokering and managing key clients with a $500,000 revenue target book of business and/or commensurate number of client relationships for commercial lines (i.e., property and casualty), and financial lines (i.e., D&O/E&O Cyber). The Account Executive will be involved in developing and maintaining the client relationship beyond the annual transactional renewal period. An understanding of the insurance market along with building and maintaining strong relationships with our insurer partners is essential.

     

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Develop client ready content, speaking engagements, white papers, etc.
    • Be visible in the insurance community as an expert in the practice or select industry segment
    • Support Producers and Practice/Industry Segment Leaders at point of sale – help prepare for key prospect/clients meetings; technical resource; coverage review
    • Responsible for growth, retention and client satisfaction when overseeing the servicing of a designated book of business.
    • Coordinating all client related service needs among service team relating to marketing, claims, risk management and placement administration
    • Direct responsibility for client retention, growth, achievement of operating margin targets, and fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement
    • Utilize system capability (AMS/Vertafore) and properly to maintain complete and accurate client and policy data and documents
    • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients by executing proactive, creative, and on-going contact initiatives
    • Understand our client’s business and industry – support research for Producers
    • Facilitate client contract reviews
    • Account round for coverage and/or policies we do not currently handle
    • Lead team on developing service timelines and takes leadership role in renewal process based on client specific needs and their industry issues
    • Overseas selection of insurers for submission; negotiate quotes; coverage analysis
    • Develop and present renewal proposal to client and do appropriate follow up on post renewal items year round
    • Develop annual stewardship report
    • Review status on open claims
    • Maintain privileged and confidential information

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 7 + years of relevant insurance industry experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree is required
    • Appropriate state licensing required
    • Insurance industry designations are preferred

    Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
