    The mailroom clerk will ensure the proper function and operation of the mailroom duties. The purpose behind this position is to maintain the deliveries and other operational duties of the B. F. Saul Company mailroom while maintaining a professional environment.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Assist with the heavy copying and book binding for the Company.
    • Deliver all incoming mail.
    • Pick up newspapers and deliver them.
    • Handle/pickup incoming and outgoing mail; handle all packages both business and personal on a daily basis; verify all shipments on invoice before approving.
    • Assist stuffing envelopes through the stuffing machine.
    • Make bank deposits on an as needed basis.
    • Heavy shredding jobs for different departments.
    • Help deliver stock to each employee from our office supply vendor.
    • Assist in investigating back orders, lost orders, return orders and making emergency orders.
    • Help fix copy machines and printers- keeping the service calls to a minimum; change toner and drums in the copy machine and fax machines
    • Logging in and maintaining a package log.
    • Handle certify mail for Courier to take to post office.
    • Assist the Facilities Manager and Corporate Messenger with office/employee moves.
    • Provide back-up assistance for the Corporate Messenger
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Professional.
    • Punctual, dependable and reliable.
    • Possession of strong organizational skills.
    • Intermediate computer skills.
    • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.  Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
    • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing. 
    • Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members.
    • Must possess strong attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. 
    • Capability to work in fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.



    • 1 year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.



    • High school diploma
    • Valid Driver’s License



    •     Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds or more
    •     Must be able to stand and walk frequently




    • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
    • High attention to detail.
    • Strong organization skills.
    • Strong customer service.
